For parents and guardians

What families ask before registering.

Clear answers on what the program involves, what it costs and how students’ information is handled.

  • What your child will do

Over four weeks, students talk with physicians, researchers and medical students, build a brain model on a computer with step-by-step guidance, build a scientific poster and present it, and learn how medical-school applications work in different countries.

  • Who it suits

High-school students aged 14 and over, and university students who are not in medical school. No previous science or programming experience is needed.

  • Schedule and time commitment

The program runs for four weeks in live, interactive sessions online. The first cohort runs from 30 November to 28 December 2026. Session days, times and time zone are confirmed with each cohort, and we share them before you decide to enrol.

  • Cost

The early-bird price is $189 USD per student, and the regular price is $249 USD. You can buy now through our secure Stripe checkout. Nothing is charged when you register your interest. Purchases can be refunded within 7 days, less a 10% refund fee. Full terms are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

  • Safeguarding and students under 18

Student safety comes first. Sessions are hosted by Medquara on Zoom, are group sessions and are recorded. Team members and guest speakers do not message or call students privately. Students under 18 must register with a parent or guardian’s knowledge, and a parent or guardian should make the purchase. Read our Safeguarding Policy and Privacy Policy.

  • What data students use

Research sessions use openly available, de-identified educational datasets. Students never work with information that identifies a patient, and they do not diagnose anyone or make clinical judgements.

  • Sessions and guest speakers

Live sessions run on Zoom and are recorded. Guest speakers join in a personal capacity to share their experience, are briefed on our safeguarding rules and are always hosted by a Medquara team member. See the Experts page and our Safeguarding Policy.

  • What the program does not do

Medquara does not guarantee admission to any medical school, and the certificate of completion is not an accredited qualification. Medquara is independent and is not affiliated with any university or medical school.
